Idaho Citizens for

Good Government

Some Candidates running in the 2026 primary

Maureen (Mo) Anderson

Maureen Anderson is a mother of 9 who is now empty-nesting and decided to stop complaining to the walls about the mess we are in.

She has decided to run against Charlie Shephard for the 7th District House position B.

At the Community+ meeting, she shared, for an hour and a half, many of the issues bothering her.

You can see a list of some of them on her campaign website here.

Maureen struck me as a pretty smart and determined cookie looking to, in her words, “Break Things” in Boise.

She values relationships and expressed that she would much rather give an hour of her time to any constituent who came to Boise to visit her than to a lobbyist.

She expressed that “warming a seat in the legislature” is not the job of a good representative.

She comes from Oregon and “fled” to Idaho sometime ago to get away from regulations and insane government.

She shared with the audience that, like Ron, she doesn’t think that business as usual will save this state and nation from a terrible future.

She hits all the conservative buttons you’d want: pro-life, Christian, pro-family, pro-small government, anti-tax, and wants a safe and affordable place for our kids.

ICGG thinks we could do worse than electing Maureen Anderson for District 7 House Representative.

Ron Neilsen

Ron Nielsen

Recently, Ron came to speak to our local Community+ group. He is running to replace Skip Brandt for the Idaho County Commissioner slot.

Click on the image above to see a podcast interview of Ron where he will explain to you the background of his book and himself.”

Ron’s presentation was, at first, over our heads; but as he explained things, we began to get the picture that this guy was probably the perfect person to be elected to the slot he was running for.  You will get a flavor of this presentation from the video.  Here is an article on the book as well.

Ron is an expert in many areas, including Law and History.  He runs a company called NanoTech, which does assay-related technical work for the mining industry.  He currently resides in Elk City.  He has brought a case before the US Supreme Court – and he’s not even a lawyer!

Ron’s book, available on Amazon, unwraps the long history of how we got to the very strange situation that Idaho and Idaho County are in today.

Ron doesn’t look like, act like or talk like a politician.  In fact, he is so transparent in his video interview that he reveals the embarrassing fact that he has been divorced twice yet retains custody of his son.

Ron has many accomplishments to his name, and if you listen to the interview, you will come to know many of them.

Idaho County is sitting on a mountain of Gold and Silver, and yet most of that land is controlled by either the state or the federal government, and mining here is locked down more than Hillary Clinton should be.

As our currency and fiat financial system are on the verge of collapse, Ron is one of the few individuals who knows the right things and has the right experience to help Idaho County avoid some of the judgment this nation will soon face.

ICGG highly recommends you look into this candidate and consider giving him your vote.
