Defending President Trump’s Constitutional Authority<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

When foreign terrorists traffic dangerous and illegal drugs into our country, it\u2019s not just President Trump\u2019s Constitutional authority to do something about it\u2014it\u2019s his duty.

Last week, radical Senate Democrats tried to strip him of that authority. I led the fight to block it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In September, President Trump notified Congress to the first of five decisive strikes<\/a> against narco-terrorists bringing lethal drugs to the U.S.

Fortunately, those drugs are now at the bottom of the ocean, preventing hundreds, if not thousands, of American deaths.

These strikes were fully justified under Article II of the U.S. Constitution. Still, Senate Democrats pushed for a resolution to undermine the President and limit his authority to protect our nation from active threats.

President Trump took an oath to defend this country. And thanks to him, American lives were saved.

This ridiculous resolution was defeated because the strikes were not only legal, but the right thing to do.

Political theater like this is simply Trump Derangement Syndrome. Just because the far left hates him, doesn\u2019t mean Democrats should wallow in that hate and produce products that attempt to stop the President from upholding his Constitutional duty.

I stand firmly in support of President Trump\u2019s efforts to combat the flood of illegal drugs into our country and will do everything I can to keep Idaho communities safe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our Response<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Constitution does not grant any powers over an individual’s health choices, and the ignored 9th and 10th amendments reserve those powers to the states and the people.
Thus, taking a drug or any substance should be up to the individual and is not in itself a crime, as it does not directly harm anyone else.
It is the actions a person takes under the influence of any substance that may constitute harm to others and thus a crime.
In our (and Trump’s) enthusiasm for “public safety”, we are killing people who are simply transporting goods.
This is a PRECRIME<\/strong> prosecution without due process.<\/span>
I would have to say that our terrible education system and overreach of the state and federal governments have pushed many to the need to self-medicate simply to handle the chaotic and controlled life they are living.
Our people are not happy<\/span>, and our pursuit of safety, prosperity, control, and global dominance has contributed to our unhappiness.
Any law that makes it a crime to do something that does not harm anyone else is wrong. Removing these kinds of “behavioral control” laws would lead to more happiness, as they violate the very idea of liberty.
It should never be a crime to “do no harm” medically or otherwise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The core problem:<\/strong>
Our judicial system doesn’t work.<\/span> That is the core function of government – to administer justice cheaply, fairly, righteously, and honestly.
No amount of laws or controls can fix this core problem, and it is what you and Trump should be focusing on to effect a solution that works. I would start by impeaching judges who make unfair or bad decisions in cases, and in fact, I would propose that grand juries be called to review judicial cases to make recommendations on dismissing the judges and lawyers responsible. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The BAR association doesn’t seem to be enforcing its own ethics rules very well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
