Idaho is the fastest growing state in the union. It is also one of the most saught after locations for corporate businesses. Why? Abundant power, cheap land, low taxes, and one of the last states with a morality that makes it good to raise families in.

These attributes have attracted big business to Idaho and Boise is where the tax breaks and development companies make it one of the easiest places to land. And this has spawned the IACI The Idaho Association of Commerce and Industry.

Businesses naturally like to have their hand in politics. In fact they typically support all major candidates so their sticky fingers are on whoever wins.

What businesses like their paid lackeys to do is keep “Business as usual”, don’t rock the boat, no revolutions here, just keep the people happy and buying and the tax breaks for corporations nice and fat and “lets all work together for better business”.

This is the same stance of much of the Republican Party, and what does that buy you? RINOs. And for big business it buys Corruption.

The IACI’s influence is hitting home because they are behind the support of the Idaho Prosperity Fund , a PAC, that recently has been mailling flyers promoting Michael Collins to replace Kyle Harris as our District 7 State Representative.

I’ve looked into Michael’s record. He used to be the mayor of Lewiston and is a fairly moderate republican. The biggest issue I could find on him was that he was on the city council that passed an LGBTQ equal protection rights in public restrooms bill way back when. There is no record of how he voted but it passed 5-2.

But compared to Kyle Harris, Michael is milk toast.

So we know why IACI is supporting Collins – he won’t rock the boat. He won’t cause any trouble for the growing big business industry in Boise and he won’t do the digging needed to expose the corruption either.

But realize this, every time a state gives tax breaks for some large business to come into its state, it does promote commerce and money for the state but it doesn’t promote local interests. Instead it brings in out of state money on its coattails. On the surface it looks like IACI and its minions of PACs are supported locally, but big business money is not really local. If one could dig deeper into where does each business get its money from, one would likely find that IACI is mostly supported by out of state interests and a lot of that falls to billionairs that, like big business, love to have their sticky fingers in politics. (Think George Sorros types)

Kyle Harris is probably the most well informed and hard working rep in the state legislature. He is digging, and uncovering the moss under those rocks that pull in corruption, wealth redistribution, rising of property values, and destruction of the very attributes that brought those big businesses to Boise in the first place.

This is all natural. It is the natural monopolistic capitalistic forces of human nature gone unchecked and unaccounted for. It is what this great republic was designed, at first, to prevent. We The People will not be able to keep our rights to life, liberty and the persuit of happiness, with these forces continuing to go unchecked.

The Voters are the last stand!

This primary is of key importance, as usual, because this is where the ballot gets the names who fits under the R and the D banners. This is how RINOs get in. The rest of the candidates that didn’t win the primary will have to be write-ins. This is a huge influence for all those sleepy-eyed voters that just vote for a party.

Things are clouded becuase mail-in-voting (which should be stopped) is causing many to vote early and this prevents candidates from effectively campaigning in time. This is because, for primaries especially, the attention span of voters is only about 2 weeks before the polls open. The big money gets in with their one-liner flyers and most voters don’t look deeper into those candidates for what the truth is.

Kyle has been smeared by these types of mailings while Collins has been promoted. It is not a conincidence. This is a perfectly executed political scam and you the voters, are the last stand.

  1. Here’s my perspective on michael collins. IA CI Idaho association of commerce and industry, holy cow. They invite you to vote for one of their paid for individuals running for office in Idaho County, I’m speaking about Michael Collins. You want a pro leftist agenda? You want LGB Q in your school
How about co Ed locker rooms? You want a legislator that is bought and paid for by big government backing out-of-state P. A c’s then vote for collins. Seriously, since he has took office, one of the most respectful knows to the grindstone, working for his constituents in Idaho county and changing the way to the right way that an agenda for legislators is being followed. If you want someone that follows faith, family and freedom and reacts harshly to the non idahohorn out-of-state, backed policies, then Kyle Harris is the representative that you want and need. Kyle Harris has done nothing since he took office except what we voted him in. For positive constructive the legislation do not fall for the auto state propaganda
    Give kyle harris your backing.

  2. Thanks Mark. Sounds like you know Michael better than I do. I wouldn’t say Kyle has done nothing. He’s actually done a ton for us while there.
Let’s hope people see this before the primary and vote accordingly.

  3. There seems to be a complete barrage of fliers in the mail about Kyle Harris. Then we see these flyers for who ‘they want to replace Harris. This seems to be an attempt to weaken a Great Concervative, and get a Rhino in his place. I’m not buying it. Mr Harris is doing a great Job, and he has only been there 2 years. -Stephen

  4. A very EXCELLENT commentary, Sandy – – including, specifically, your defining analysis of the workings of the corporate organization IACI,, making for a far better understanding than I ever had before.

Also, and incidentally, you’ve made me aware of an error I inadvertently made in my own letter to the papers this past week in support of Kyle Harris, wherein I stated that 2 of the 4 Michael Collins mailers I received said “Paid for by Idaho Property Fund,” when I should correctly have said, “Prosperity” Fund. Sizable Freudian slip there, I guess!

But oh well! Just hoping and praying that District 7 voters will know to hang onto the great good we all have in Representative Kyle Harris!

Greatly appreciating your very good work, Sandy.
    Carol
