The Primary – Just Vote!

The Idaho Majority Club recently sent a mailing out for District 7 voters to help them vote in the upcoming primary.

We did a little digging into the group that published this mailing and you can see the details on GROK here.

This group has a history of supporting moderate republicans – something I would classify as semi-RINOS. Our impression is they generally support republican winners.

Let’s go down the list and give you our opinions on what we know about most of these candidates:

Brad Little

Brad showed his true colors during the COVID plandemic where he:

• Accepted $21Billion from the feds (Where did it go?)
• Delcared a state of emergency in excess of constitutional limits
• Refused to call the legislature into emergency session, preventing the representatives of the people from weighing in on the emergency
• Has created dozens of additional state executive agencies during his term.
• Has been supported by and has supported strong RINO legislature members.
• Has generally grown Idaho state government and cost during his tenure.
• We highly highly recommend Mark Fitzpatrick instead of Brad although most online resources do not even acknowledge him running.

Jim Rische

• Has been in congress since 2008. (18 years in office)
• Is 83 years old.
• Has a fairly good track record.
• We doubt his opponents can beat him.

Scott Bedke

• Scott was a notorious and powerful RINO in the Senate.
• Has close ties with Governor Little
• Has been groomed as Littles’ replacement and is on track to get there.
• As far as we can tell, he is unopposed.

Phil McCrane

No knowledge of his accomplishments at this time.

Julie Ellsworth

• Obtained a good credit rating for Idaho as State Treasurer
• As far as we know she is a good fit for this position.

Mike Simpson

• Is not our rep in the 7th district. (2nd congressional district)

Raul Labrador

• As far as we know, Raul has been a good AG for Idaho so we support him.

Brandon Wolf

• We found this video by Todd Hatfield running against Brandon.
• Todd claims the state has a massive deficit but we don’t see how the controller has control over that.

Debbie Critchfield

• As far as we know she is unopposed.

Dan Foreman

• Has an excellent voting record in the state house representing district 6.
• Recently squashed an anti-ed-union bill he authored and has not been very public about why this change in stance. Kyle Harris, managed to get a similar bill through despite this change.
• Is opposed by Lori McCann – a well known strong RINO, worse than many democrats.

Cindy Carlson

• Has been strong for education and budget reform.
• Not ranked as high by the IFF as we would like.
• The ICGG has supported aids for Cindy and we find her a very hard-working and honest candidate with an excellent voting record.

Michael Collins

• A known moderate
• Supported by big business and the IACI (see this article)
• We would much rather see Kyle Harris stay in office.

Charlie Shepherd

• Not bad but not as strong a candidate as we would like.
• Has a more moderate voting record.
• Opposed by Mor(een) Anderson (see this article)
